Radical Philosophy Hour (Feb ‘25)
In a recent Radical Philosophy Hour talk, Dr. Justin Clardy, founder of PAGES, offers a compelling preview of his upcoming article, "Ill-fated Portrayals of Black Non-Monogamy (and Their Harmful Consequences)." In the first 30 minutes, Dr. Clardy delves into critical discussions on how mainstream depictions of Black non-monogamous relationships can perpetuate harmful stereotypes and misrepresentations. He explores the cultural, political, and social implications of these portrayals, shedding light on the negative impact they have on Black communities. This article will be featured in the forthcoming special issue of Siyabonana: Journal of Africana Studies, which is dedicated to Africana Queer Social Justice: Politics, Theory, and Activism.
